Hips And Gains Excite Me!!

You can tell a lot about a person from the way they use their hips… in the gym. In CrossFit, we primarily utilize lower body exercises that require us to stand on both feet at once, like the squat and the deadlift. It turns out that most sports require us to run and turn and rotate with only one foot on the ground. Good strong hips should allow you to squat low on both feet and also be strong and stable when you are on one foot like when you are running and playing sports.
In this workshop, I will show you mobility exercises to increase the range of motion in your hips and ankles and show you exercises to strengthen and stabilize the hips so you can be stronger and more flexible. Additionally we will look at exercises that require you to stabilize on one foot and discuss fixing the imbalances that we often see when athletes go to one leg.
