Why has eating become such a challenge? Better yet, why has eating to be healthy become a challenge? What does eating healthy even mean?

Your answers to these questions are very subjective and only based on your personal knowledge and what you have learned and tried. As well as what you’ve been led to believe. “Studies”, “tests”, are usually biased, performed by the companies selling the food or product.

The availability of food and food-like products is unprecedented, you have access to anything anywhere at any time. The companies making these foods understand your addiction and obsession with food, therefore their marketing is driven to sell you more. Playing on your emotions.

So how do you take control? Mindset…. how you think about food is the key. Do you look at food as a gift, a privilege, a way of survival and something necessary to sustain life, OR do you look at food as a right, an obsession, as a comfort or something you deserve? If you are the latter then food will control you and will forever be caught in a roller coaster of fads, quick fixes and silly diets. Wondering why you gain and lose weight, have low energy, poor sleep, high cholesterol, Type 2 Diabetes, and all the lifestyle diseases that are available to you.

Food and water are essential to daily life, its very simple. As Greg Glassman put it in his “100 Words” to health and fitness “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.”
